HISTORY
| Becker's Berry Patch was originally established in the Trout Creek area, and we produced our first pick-your-own strawberry crop in 1979. We later expanded to Nipissing, and opened with our first crop at the new location in 1985. Presently, our farm grows 16 - 18 acres of bearing strawberries, plus the annual new planting of 4 - 5 acres. There are approximately seven or more different varieties of strawberries grown. |

Customers can either bring their own containers (baskets or small pails are usually the best) or purchase 4 litre baskets at the farm for a nominal fee.

Customers are whisked to the field aboard one of our two berry buses where they are then greeted by a field supervisor, and assigned a row to pick. |

After picking your berries, enjoy a treat in the Berry Snack Shack. Ice cream, cold drinks, and delicious strawberry sundaes, etc. are available. Jam making supplies such as jars, lids and pectin can also be purchased. As the weather is constantly changing and can differ from location to location, we advise customers to phone before coming out to the farm (705) 724-2305 or (705) 724-2077. |
